A Silver Lining?

Some scientists investigated why certain persons do not get infected with covid no matter how often they are exposed to the virus. One conclusion (the only one I recall, so please don’t ask) was that when a person has a cold, the cold bug  neutralizes any coronavirus it meets. Zap!

Hmmm, could the main purpose of cold cooties is to protect us from viruses. Anyone ever have the cold and the flu simultaneously?

  1. Not the cold and flu, but I used to get a lot of colds after I moved from the West Coast to Michigan. I am surprised I haven't gotten COVID since I am out in the public all the time. While a few of my co workers have got it, most of them aren't very careful around other people, and constantly were attending gatherings.

    1. You’ve got the prevent-the-covid shuffle down. We’re still cautious about being out in the public, probably will be forever more going forward since we’re old and decrepit. No problem. :-)

  2. Well, they were talking about the flu-rona in January, those that had the flu and Covid at the same time. Eeek! As for a cold, I have no idea if that makes any difference, It would be interesting if it does.

  3. I had Covid, and while I had it, my only symptoms mimicked a cold. Not sure what that means!

    1. I’m glad it felt like cold symptoms for you, Angie. Thank goodness.

  4. I used to get a lot of colds when I was younger but rarely get them now. I've never had the flu and I count myself lucky that I've avoided Covid even though I'm out in public all the time.

    1. Hi, Eunice. Blogger comments look to be off. It’s possible that one day there will be 3 replies to your comment showing here. Silly glitches.
