"Monty" Python Boots

That's the foot of our new acquaintance Steve, a storyteller of a guy, who we met at yesterday's two-buck senior citizen buffet hosted by the local hospital's volunteer group. Steve was wearing python-skin cowboy boots, and was kind enough to let me take a photo of them.  Both the Husband and I wondered if he called his boots Monty, but neither of us asked him. We just thought it.

Ever heard a python snake?

Me, either.

Good old friend Google coughed up a video sound bite of a python.

Its hiss brought to mind of a flushing toilet. The Husband remarked that would be an awful quiet toilet. He thought the python's hiss is more like the sound of spraying water on leaves. Maybe. My second thought was that the python's hiss almost, almost, sounds like ocean waves. Click here if you want to hear a python's hiss. What does it sound like to you?

It's time for All Seasons, a weekly meme hosted by Jesh at Artworks from Jesh St.G. Click here to check out Jesh. For the participants list, click here. Thank you, Jesh!

    1. I wouldn't have known if I didn't ask. He told us he got them from a friend and it got me wondering how his friend got them and why he doesn't have them now. It's fun meeting people.

  2. Ok, I will come back to use the link or look it up cuz I've never and I'm watching the Tony's and they're pretty good. I didn't really think they made a sound but maybe I'm thinking of all those cartoon snakes I've seen and they actually just hypnotize you, right?
Do Monty pythons do bits about cheese shops and spam before they bite you? Do they hypnotize you with their knowledge of philosophers?
Good photo by the way and I LOVE that you thought of getting the shot, that's something I'd do, great minds and all.

    1. That's because the guy playing the recorder was louder than the snake so we couldn't hear the snake. Being born in the year of the Snake I don't care too much that Satan is symbolized as a snake. Sssss. Yes, I think the slithering Monty pythons do and they love to sing "Always look on the bright side of life."

    1. Hi Anne! Thanks for the visit. I've been slow getting around these days, but I'm starting to catch up with my shadow. So I say. Sorry to hear about your SIL. Hope all heals quickly so he can move on to the next one. I'll come by soon.

    1. P.S. ... did he have a silly walk? :D

    2. I didn't notice his walk, but we drove by just as he got on his motorcycle. He looked right on the motorcycle, probably in another age, it would've been a loved horse.

  6. A man in snake boots definitely has to get a second look! I do think the hiss sounds like spraying water ….
