In my mind, I'm five years old having a high old time wandering and wondering. In reality, I'm now 70, wowza! I tell you a lot of creativity is still to be found in this old young self. In you, too, whatever your age. Welcome to my barefoot world!
I pruned her roses drastically (at least that's what I think) this winter. So it's true what people say, roses are durable and if healthy can live through anything humans do. Well, okay people don't say that. I interpret it so.
I remember pruning being real important for roses. We had a few pretty ones in our Oregon yard (previous life) ... and way way back my dad was a champion rose grower. (I was not as good a daughter as you are ... did not inherit his love of hard work and gardening!.... but I do love roses.
The roses and the Husband had to contend with my tiny temper tantrum this afternoon. The roses were tearing my old brittle shirt as I pulled stubborn weeds from beneath them. lol I can laugh about it now. The Husband was smart and cleared out to sweep the patio. By the time he came back to the front I was finding zen as I deadheaded the daisies.
Spring is always so extravagant. Beautiful flower!!
ReplyDeleteSpring certainly is, Yogi! :-)
DeleteI miss Robin Williams! A lovely rose, to be sure! Good job, Mama!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog today - yes, Reader's Digest had the vocabulary section - it was called Word Power!
Me too, Angie. Robin Williams was one of a kind. :-)
DeleteWhat a magnificent 'Mama Rose' :)
