"Here comes another oh-nay lah-nay bridge," said the Husband. We were driving on a windy road somewhere on the island of Hawaii a long time ago.
"Oh-nay lah-nay?"
"See, oh-nay lah-nay," the Husband said, gesturing towards the yellow sign we were passing.
"Oh." That's one of the infinite reasons I'm with the Husband.
A few hours ago, we drove over two, maybe three oh-nay lah-nay bridges while we meandered the country roads a few miles from home.

Unless I am blind, I don't see a bridge, lol !
ReplyDeleteThe very short bridge over a creek was up ahead. So, yup, you have your sight, Gattina. :-)
Deletelol
ReplyDelete:-)
DeleteAh yes, the one lane bridge...I kind of like these and recall one that was wooden and no rails.
ReplyDeleteWish the one we went over was like thing. If the sign wasn't there I wouldn't have thought we were on a bridge when we crossed the narrow creek.
DeleteI-yay Ike-Lay Is-Thay Ost-Pay!!!!
ReplyDeleteOol-cay!
DeleteI must be missing something here. :)
ReplyDeleteIt took me awhile too when the Husband first brought it to me attention. Remember we were in Hawaii. One (Oh-nay) Lane (Lah-nay) Bridge. I can't read those signs anyway but Oh-nay Lah-nay now.
DeleteAhh ... got it. :)
DeleteClearly, we keep our husbands around for their sense of humor! (or not)
ReplyDeleteOne of the reasons we remain married, Angie. :-)
