Okey-Dokey

"Tell me everything will be all right," I said to the Husband.

"Everything will be all right," he said.

I like to be reassured now and then.

Molly the Cat looked over at me. "Everything will be Okay, Lady." Purrrrrrrrrrr.

It's a day late for ABC Wednesday. Better late than never. Click here to check out the participants. Thanks, ABCW team!

Oh, the theme this week is the letter O.

  3. I love your illustration and am assuming you created this?? You will do just fine and I believe in that! My mom was so scared and she had her hip replaced in 2000 when she was 72. Now a hip is not a technical as a knee but my mom was not as active as you have been and you are younger. My mom was home by the. 4th day and she did all her physio. The pain lessened a great deal and she could do things much better after that. You will be fine...more than that and I will be thinking about you

    1. Thanks, Birgit. That's very heartening knowing that your mom go her surgery in her 70s. My gosh, in 8, no 7 years I'll be in my 70s. I won't be doing the knees yet. This surgery is for an unexpected hysterectomy. I threw away my folder on my condition, thought it was done. Ha! on me.

  4. Hello Su----sie'
I've been off line for a while, then distracted re other things. I though,
when you seemed worried about something it would be about youe knees,I scrolled back and then learned that you will be having a hysterectomy. The route you your Doc has chosen is the best and less radical than full blown surgery, which isn't pleasant with regard to recovery time and pain management. I speak through experience, I had the biggie when I was 45, after recovering from the operation I was put on HRT and was soon jumping through hoops!
You will be just fine and when recovered 'running up and down the garden fence' like Molly the cat...OOh! I forgot about you poor knee/s, so just sitting around on the patio sunning yourself all day isn't a bad idea either,
    Love n hugs,
    Di.xx#Abcw team.

    1. Thanks, Di. Every day, it seems, I learn about someone else who had or is about to have a hysterectomy. Because I'm way postmenopausal, I don't think I'll have to deal with hormonal changes. But, I never know. Hormones are crazy things. Wouldn't it be funny if I suddenly become the Beard Lady of the circus. hahahaha. Sunning sounds good as I hurl my way through tending the gardens.

  10. When it comes to answering that question your sweet husband husband is OK. ( And downright loquacious compared to some husbands I know well. )

  12. That's what I miss. My husband always told me everything would be alright. At times I knew it was a lot of BS and he really didn't know that, but I sure liked to hear it anyway.

    1. Whenever I get anxious, I ask the Husband to tell me everything will be all right. I'm glad he's happy to oblige. I believe him, too, when he says it will be okay.
