More about Me

When I can't think of what to write, I look in my "Drafts" folder for an unfinished post.  This one is a meme I started writing a year ago. The survey was longer. It only took me several decades to realize that I don't have to answer every question. It's not like I'm filling out a job application to be me.

Four Jobs I've Had
Hand pollinator for a seed research company
Clerk typist in the San Francisco Financial District
Substitute teacher  (shudder)
Freelance writer (I'm my best employer yet.)

Four Movies I've Watched More Than Once
Two Weeks Notice with Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant
Pride and Prejudice (all of them! including the one with Greer Garson and Sir Laurence Oliver)
Monsters, Inc. (I love the relationship between Sully and Boo)
Ground Hog Day (I think I'm finally good. Don't need to see it another time.)

Four Places I Have Been
Florence, Italy
Seoul, Korea
Hawaii—all the islands except Lanai
Smokey Mountains

Four Things I Won't Eat

Lamb
Brain
Rabbit
Any kind of egg other than a chicken's

Four of My Favorite Foods

Wild mustard greens

Four TV Shows That I Watch

    1. It seems to get longer each year. This time I can see that it was a good thing the campaigning began last year. It allows for a lot of weeding out.

  4. I've seen every version of Pride and Prejudice too.
No brain on a dinner plate for me either. I will have to find wild mustard greens. They sound intriguing.

    1. I'm not sure if I want to see the new one coming out -- Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Sounds too creepy. The best wild mustard greens are the ones you can pick yourself. They grow wild in orchards.

    1. Thank you.

I didn't do tomatoes. Cabbage, zucchini, corn, cucumbers, and pumpkins. The cucumbers were the toughest ones to do. I was pretty much sprawled on the ground on foggy mornings. It was a great job to have as a teenager. :-)

    1. It's been over 12 years since I've lived in the Bay Area so I'm pretty clueless about places to eat. :-)

  8. Taking cello is neat. My brother ate brain when he was a kid. I think he was forced to, or more like he didn't want to disappoint his Aunt and Uncle. I would have disappointed them for sure-blecchhhh. One day I will be in Florence, Italy

    1. Your brother was a brave soul. I probably would've hidden it in my napkin. The Mama got me to try brain when I was a kid. Shudder.
