Missus Lady said today's post is mine to do, if I like.
Missus Lady and Mister Man did errands today. Miao, miao. They skipped the pet store mowrrr because Missus Lady's mask flew off her head.
Said Missus Lady (which I'm repeating word for word), "I'd just pushed my mask up on my head and opened the car window. I heard a scraping sound so I leaned out the window to see if anything was dangling from the car. Nothing, but then I saw something pink fly by me. It was my mask."
"We turned around to fetch it. As Missus Lady got out of the car, a big rig ran over the mask," added Mister Man (not those exact words but that idea).
Miao, miao. Missus Lady retrieved her mask from the middle of the empty street. Miao. Because it was no longer safe to wear and Missus Lady is the designated shopper, my humans came home.
It's the green can for dinner tonight. Mowrr.
I am glad my Humans are home, safe and sound, even without different food for me. Me, I'm going to sit in my favorite spot. Maybe the sun will come out so I can patrol the perimeter of the backyard. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
P.S. Missus Lady says for me to link up with Mosaic Monday. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Yikes. But part of me is laughing, too. That is kind of funny.ReplyDelete
That is a tale for the ages for sure, Molly, and the big rig running over a pretty pink mask sends it home. Literally too I guess. I like how you look with two sets of eyes.ReplyDelete
designated shopper,😊keep your mask on stay safeReplyDelete
I am #18 on today's linky
...I rarely wear a mask because I rarely go out! Today I filled my SUV with gas and I was the only one with a mask, what's this all about!!!ReplyDelete
Never heard of flying mask, I just made anther mask for someone.ReplyDelete
Thanks for posting Miss Molly! I imagine Mrs Lady was quite traumatized by the loss of her mask and wouldn’t be able to write too well! I hope she has another one (or can make one) and I hope she will be able to write again soon. And also go and get you something new for dinner. After all, that is why you have people!ReplyDelete
Molly - you should write more posts - I am still laughing and grinning ear to ear. I hope the "green can" was tasty!!! And tell your humans to be more careful with their masks! Thanks for linking up to Mosaic Monday, miao, miao.ReplyDelete
Molly, you really know how to tell a story! Thanks for the smile.ReplyDelete
Thank you for the morning chuckle. All I can think of anymore is one more article of clothing I need to keep track of.ReplyDelete
Hello, what a cute post Molly! I hope your food was delicious and I am glad your humans are safe and well. Take care and have a great day!ReplyDelete
Very cute post. During times of "sheltering" we become a lot more creative.ReplyDelete
