My Expanding Work Space

Ha-haaah! Two days ago marked one full year of posting every day on this blog.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much.

Last October I was feeling quite aimless.  Within two years, the Mama died of old age, the Husband got a pacemaker, and my reproductive system, along with a bit of cancer, was cut away. Yes, I had an excuse, if I needed one, to feel aimless.  Except I didn't want to feel aimless, which for me could lead to digging a deeper crevice in which to fall. So, I committed myself to this blog. Post every day I told myself. Original posts, preferably. On wordless days, I looked in my archives for something to share.

One year later, do I still feel aimless?

Buzzed is more like it. Buzzing like a bee flitting from one flower to the next. My flowers are artsy and craftsy repurposing rojects of all manner.

Fun projects are revealing themselves to me, left and right. What to do? Which to attempt first? I also want to finish reading Anne Perry's Dark Tide Rising, the latest story in her William Monk series. I miss Hester Latterly Monk, the main character's wife, not having a larger role in the series.

I love how one distraction leads to another.

By the way Missy Molly by Golly and I shall be taking a blogging break. A week. Or, two. Or, three.

Have fun out there, and stay safe!

Su-sieee! Mac and Molly the Cat

  2. I seem to feel aimless more in the winter months with the grey skies.

  3. You have had a lot...a lot on your plate in this past year and a bit so if you feel or felt aimless, you are entitled! Losing ones mom is so hard and we are now orphans regardless of our age. When something happens, we naturally want to talk to our moms but they are not there to reply. You have had a (earth scare and so has your hubby but you are thriving and your husband is one funny dude that, I bet, makes your day feel better over all. Congrats on writing every day and love your artistic creativity

  7. Wow that is quite an achievement of posting every day for a whole year. Congrats! And quite a reason for starting the blog. I suppose you have earned some time off. Hope it is a safe and fun time off.

  8. Looks like some creative chaos. You should see my desk. I've been blogging about 5 days a week for 13 years! It gives me a focus and a writer's filing cabinet.

  12. Hey you!! You certainly deserve a break but I do hope you come back to Blogland (maybe if not every single day -- heck i can't even READ blogs every day, much less post). I didn't really realize all the reasons behind your daily post goal, . i really admire what you did to lift yourself -- and while you were at it, providing smiles to all of your readers along the way. Thank you bushels for that, even though i didn't comment on every post, i read most of them. (And thanks to Miss Molly too..)

  13. Good for you, my dear. I don't think I knew you before 'buzzing bee' mode, and I sure like it. I would sure miss it. So don't go changing, you hear!

  14. Thank you for all you do! This post helps me . . . gives me a tip . . . .

  15. Oh no, maybe just Molly can post(yes, I know what I'm saying). It's nice to feel like that and what makes you happiest is most important. Don't get too buzzed though for what buzzes up must buzz down. I miss being creative, maybe you can just snap shots of your activities? Can you tell I hate change. Don't gooooo!

    1. Jeanna, I'm here. Don't ya worry. I'm simply snoozing and would be boozing if I had the right ingredients. I've been remembering fun times of sipping daiquiris and pina coladas.
