Once upon a time, on a beautiful, warm Fall evening, I sat in a university extension classroom of like-minded adults who wanted to improve their writing skills.
I spent much of the first hour glancing out the window. I wanted to see the moment of nightfall.
I missed it.
Patience is hard to maintain at every second.
ReplyDeleteThat makes a good quote, Adam. :-)
DeleteHope you enjoy your writing class
ReplyDeleteIt was a good class. I thought it helped me get out of my comfort zone.
DeleteOh, I love this! And, yes, it does go in the blink of an eye.

Cool, Amalia!
DeleteHope the writing class will be interesting and that you can learn more and write more. That moment to capture the sun setting I have often missed because it does go by so quickly.
ReplyDeleteI took the writing class back in the 1980s. I ought to take another one or an art class to help jump start my cuckoo-ness. And not for cocoa puffs, though I wouldn't mind some at the moment.
DeleteThey post very short stories on Twitter sometimes. This would fit in beautifully.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Liz! :-)
DeleteYou were, however, then able to write about that very experience. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm almost there, writing about it. I remember now it was summer when my left leg was stuck in a brace.
DeleteI never thought about that before, the moment of nightfall. From that thought alone I assume you slayed the class and put the others to shame.
ReplyDeletelol, I don't think so Jeanna. I remember there being some pretty good writers. What I loved about that class was that I felt brave enough to join a writer's group after it was done.
