Molly the Cat can't stand the heat. Neither can the Husband and me. Nor can the computer.
The last couple of mini heat waves were simply high temps. Now Mother Nature has added another element—humidity. (Or is it us humans that has created the change?) Bleack. It's very unusual for our neck of the woods.
Poor Molly under all that fur. She looks at me and questions why I'm not doing anything about the heat. Kweippppp!
Time to hook up at All Seasons, a weekly meme open from Sunday to Wednesday, hosted by Jesh at Artworks from Jesh StG. Click here to join in or to read the tales of other participants. Thanks, Jesh!
yep = here, too . . . golly. Take care, please. love & love, -g-
ReplyDeleteYou take care, too,G. Big hugs.
Deletepoor kitty! Drink lots of water (you two and molly too)... stay in the shade... I realize in that normally cool area you may not have A/C (our Eugene apartment does not)....we stayed away on the road a couple of extra days because the weekend we would have got home it was over 100 here -- almost unheard of. It's been manageable since we got home ... don't send any of that heat up here please ;)0
ReplyDeleteThe house has A/C, but we've never used it. A/C makes my eczema go crazy. But on high temp days I certainly appreciate the air conditioned stores and offices while I'm there.
DeleteIt's hot and the kitty has to wear its fur coat!
ReplyDeleteMakes me grateful I don't have such a fur coat.
DeleteI have been watching Dexter closely when it gets crazy outside, but he seems to be fine. I make sure fans are on and windows are open and the AC kicks in when that isn't enough. All that gorgeous hair, too bad you can't groom them like dogs for a little break. Molly is so very pretty.
ReplyDeleteMolly says, purrrrrrrrrrrthank youuuuu.
DeleteOh, my hair on top of my face is enough to deal with! Am glad humans have no fur like animals do - feel sorry for them:) Even in the forest at 3000 feet, we came close (97) to a 100, while in Sacramento it was 120! The new thing for me is that I "need" some clothes for this weather - many thanks for sharing this heat experience with All Seasons - much appreciated! Wishing you a week of cooling off weather:)
ReplyDelete120 degrees! It's only 90 degrees, with a slight breeze, right now, but I don't want to get into the car and drive to the store. Looks like grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner. Maybe.
DeleteLet me see...there are a couple of advantages to humidity. I rarely use moisturizer or hand lotion. Maybe twice a year I use chap stick. Give me time and I'll try to think up more...if there are any. :) As far as Molly goes she'll probably get used to it.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that my hands were quite soft-looking yesterday. I thought it was because of all the water I drank. lol
DeleteI understand completely, Molly. I hate this kind of heat too. Bleghghgh!
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit better today. A few hours ago, I stood at the patio door calling, clanking on plates, and making kissy noises to get her attention to come inside. Nothing. Finally, I went outside. While I was in the depths of the yard, I glanced over at the door and saw Molly saunter out of the house. She looked at me as if to say, "You're crazy, Missus Lady, to be out here."
DeleteHehehehe ... they do that 'distain' so wonderfully!
DeleteTime for the A/C I believe. I can't stand the heat either
ReplyDeleteExtreme temps, hot or cold, don't work for me.
DeleteIt was really hot here today.
ReplyDeleteHope it's cooler where you are.
DeleteIf that look could kill. It says don't mess with me!
ReplyDeleteYou should've seen the look when she started walking towards me.
DeleteMy fluffy cat hangs out on the bathroom tile floor (or in the shower) and looks so miserable in heat. My tuxedo cat, meanwhile, purposely lays in the sunlight on carpet. He can't get enough heat and he's black. Go figure!
ReplyDeletelol Where would we be without our kitty-cats.
