    1. This is Rancho del Oso, the western part of the Big Basin Redwoods Park in Santa Cruz County. This part of the path runs along a creek.

    1. This was a great trail. The first half was going up and down a mountain path. We went through oak woodland and other different ecosystems.

    1. It does look like the Sierras, doesn't it. But we're near the Pacific coast, north of Santa Cruz. Both the Husband and I were surprised how much some of the terrain reminded us of the Sierras.
