"Natural" is the theme of this week's PhotoHunt. My photos are from a drive the husband and I took on our anniversary. For the longest time, we've been wanting to explore a certain back road between out county and the next. It was well worth the bumpity-bump drive on the dusty road.

This reminds me a lot of parts of Texas.
ReplyDeleteMy PhotoHunt is here.
I love the natural beauty of back roads.
ReplyDeleteLovely. Where do you live? I love old decaying vehicles like that.
ReplyDeleteWas this on Lime Kiln Road?
ReplyDeleteHey Photohunters! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
ReplyDeleteSandra, I'm glad you like my photos. I was fortunate to be down that road on Thursday.
Alice, Texas, huh? A long time ago I did a whitewater trip down the Rio Grande, starting near Alpine. That was/is beautiful country. Thinking back, I could almost see how that area is like the terrain we drove through.
Carver, any chance. The back roads are for us.
Colin: Are you familiar with the Pinnacles National Monument in San Benito County, just east of Monterey county? That's where these photos were taken.
Charlie: Gloria Road, off of Airline Highway. It's the one that crosses over to Gonzales.
You just did one of my favorite things ..... exploring unknown roads. That looked like a good one. Roads like that lend not only to the greenery and scenery but the air feels pure (?) I don't know what pure feels like, exactly but it's just easier to breath. Lovely day
ReplyDeletethese look a lot like our country roads here. it's always interesting to drive along these roads.
ReplyDeletesorry for the late visit...poor internet connection.:(
Your old car discovery is amazing... or maybe it's a truck?

you photograph trees especially well. i find myself looking at your nature shots for longer than a moment.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful discoveries.
ReplyDeleteManzi, you said it. There's nothing like being among trees, especially pines, and getting a high off all that oxygen they give off.
ReplyDeleteLuna Miranda, no apologies needed. :-) I'm happy you could stop by.
e-Mom, I think it's a very old flatbed truck. On the other side of the road stood a very old farm wagon.
Ed, "...for longer than a moment." I'm glad to hear that. :-) Trees and me, we go way back. I quit a job once because the employers pulled out a beautiful ancient oak tree.
Whimsical Creations, you said it! :-)
