In my mind, I'm five years old having a high old time wandering and wondering. In reality, I'm now 70, wowza! I tell you a lot of creativity is still to be found in this old young self. In you, too, whatever your age. Welcome to my barefoot world!

Sweet Days of Summer
This summer actually feels like the summers from when I was a kid allowed to do whatever I wanted (within reason) after all my chores were done. The days go by fast doing nothing. How fortunate am I.
That's a very good thing I think. Your flowers are looking quite healthy, I wonder what tonight's rain is doing for the flowers, I think they need it. Is that a yo-yo hanging from your tree? I'd think Molly might like that.
I miss summer days as a kid, now I only miss work at a week and half at most. Stupid work vacations, not nearly as long as school ones
ReplyDeleteSchool vacations certainly didn't prepare us for the week or two of vacation time as adults.
DeleteDoing nothing for days on end drove me nuts. But feeling like a kid again is great.
ReplyDeleteI don't recall being bored when I was a kid. Maybe I was. I did watch a lot of old movies on TV.
DeleteIt smokey here but I have to say it a little better last few days.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
Good to hear it's clearing out by you, Dora.

ReplyDeleteYup, that a green yo-yo. The curly shadow on the aple tree is of a slinky. It's not doing well this year. I hope it's not because I'm stuff from it.
DeleteOhhh, a Slinky (a Slinky), I thought you painted that on. Way friggin' cool!
Delete:-)
DeleteThe best kind of Summer. :)
ReplyDeleteUntil this summer, I didn't realize how good I had it as a kid. And, now as an adult.
DeleteLucky you!
ReplyDeleteThat, I am. :-)
DeleteYou are fortunate to be able to be retired, work, but enjoy the days when you can.
ReplyDeleteThe Husband and I certainly are. We don't need or want much, so that helps.
