Sweet Days of Summer

This summer actually feels like the summers from when I was a kid allowed to do whatever I wanted (within reason) after all my chores were done. The days go by fast doing nothing. How fortunate am I.

  1. I miss summer days as a kid, now I only miss work at a week and half at most. Stupid work vacations, not nearly as long as school ones

    1. School vacations certainly didn't prepare us for the week or two of vacation time as adults.

  2. Doing nothing for days on end drove me nuts. But feeling like a kid again is great.

    1. I don't recall being bored when I was a kid. Maybe I was. I did watch a lot of old movies on TV.

  4. That's a very good thing I think. Your flowers are looking quite healthy, I wonder what tonight's rain is doing for the flowers, I think they need it. Is that a yo-yo hanging from your tree? I'd think Molly might like that.

    1. Yup, that a green yo-yo. The curly shadow on the aple tree is of a slinky. It's not doing well this year. I hope it's not because I'm stuff from it.

    1. Until this summer, I didn't realize how good I had it as a kid. And, now as an adult.

  6. You are fortunate to be able to be retired, work, but enjoy the days when you can.

    1. The Husband and I certainly are. We don't need or want much, so that helps.
