The Mama loved her flowers. Every time she trimmed her flowers, she planted many of the trimmings directly into the soil elsewhere. And, they grew. I'm hoping that will happen for me, too. Here's what her daisies, geraniums, and rosemary in the front of the house looked like this afternoon. Oh, Happy Spring!

Oh, WOW!!! Here, grass is just beginning to show a bit of green . . and LOOK!!! You have abundant flowers. Way Cool!
ReplyDeleteThat's California for you. :-)
DeleteWow, indeed! Quite the green thumb! I am still happy with our winter, but I am looking forward to spring flowers!
ReplyDeleteIf I had a vote in weather, I'd vote for our used-to-be winters of rain and more rain.
DeleteBeautiful flowers! Here, it has been snowing for a week already. Our snowdrops, crocuses, and violets are under the snow blanket now...
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday to you! :-)
I can just imagine the beauty you'll be seeing. Mmmmm.
DeleteA beautiful picture of beautiful flowers, again reminiscent of an English cottage garden. Your mama would have loved it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Eunice. She loved her flowers! :-)
DeleteLooks so pretty!

A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Thanks, Carol! I appreciate that.
DeleteSo pretty. It will be a while before anything starts to grow here as we're still in our wild winter weather swings (51 today, 15 tonight).
ReplyDeleteBrrrr.
DeleteWow! ... that is some serious flowerage! :)
ReplyDeletePut together with the blooming on the once-a-front-lawn, wowza!
DeleteSigns of change in the weather!
ReplyDeleteIt surely is!
DeleteOh! The Mama left you a beautiful legacy. What gorgeous flowers. Happy Spring indeed. (I'm a bit envious.)
ReplyDeleteSallie, think of all the deadheading that's up ahead for me. So far I don't mind it, but oh, lady, you should see all the daisy bushes on the once-a-front-lawn that'll need deadheading in the next few weeks.
DeleteThis is like something out of House Beautiful. Your mom lives through the flowers and how beautiful. I hope you have her same green thumb
ReplyDeleteThanks, Birgit. I hope I do, too. I'm trusting my instincts more when I'm in the garden. This morning I transplanted a volunteer daisy that popped up among the geraniums. It looks like it's happy to have its own space.
