You know: the plastic covers for the wall switches.
I've decided to paint the switchplates in this house, along with the outlet wall plates. Not all at once, but one at a time when the mood strikes. So far I've painted three switchplates.
There are a lot of switchplates and wall plates in our home. I'm hoping the Husband will join me in painting some.

Very funky :) Do they match the decor of each room or are they in contrast? They look good whichever they are :)
ReplyDeleteFunky, I like that description, Eunice. They don't match or contrast with the decor being decor is nonexistent. It's comme ce, comme ca in this house.
DeleteWhat a great idea. I love this ... I want to do this....(I can't paint but I still want to!)
ReplyDeleteYou can do this, Sallie! I only started really playing with paints a month ago or so. I had no rhyme nor reason when I painted these switchplates. I hope you try it. Please share should you do.
Deletemy mother had one that was factory made in a beach theme. All of mine are beige.
ReplyDeleteYou can paint over beige. Ours a dirty tan. Maybe they were once white.
DeleteThat's a fun idea ... you home is going to be full of colour from stem to stern before you're finished! :D ... outside too. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's my aim! The Mama's objective was lots of flowers. Mine is lots of color.
DeleteThese are great and I hope you put a coating on so the paint doesn't come off. I love them-they remind me of your garden and travels on Tildy
ReplyDeleteI didn't do that. Something to Google. Thanks for the tip, Birgit.
