The cues for this week are: 1) Starts with O 2) Week's Favorite 3) Eyes
Don't you think this tree's "eyes" look owlish?
Ha-ha! O for owlish.
O is also for opposite. On the opposite side of this tree is young growth. Very cool, which is why this photo is my week's favorite.
Friday's Hunt is a weekly meme hosted by Teresa at Eden Hills. To check out other participants, please click here.
If I tilt my head 90 degrees, I can see the owl-ish!ReplyDelete
so it's Saturday and here ' s my promised 'reminder -maybe you can link the owlish to SEASONS? Happy Sunday friend:)
Thanks, Jeanette. I linked up something else. Been thinking about my harvest post for a couple of weeks.Delete
What a Stunning Surprise . . great photo!ReplyDelete
WHoooo. Thank you, G.Delete
What an awesome share! Love the things you can read into when you see something like this. Beautiful photo! Have a great Sunday! Glad I stopped by. Hugs, AnneReplyDelete
Hugs back, Anne. Thanks for visiting. :-)Delete
Seeing nature in nature. Nice find, Susie. Some others see things in clouds. I don't unless I'm asked. I am glad you found the owl, it does look like one, better if tiped. On the right and going down I see a steer head.ReplyDelete
If you have an old timey mechanic, she could make your fan come on when the engine runs. Or give you a switch for inside the car. But you might forget and the engine will overheat. Running all the time will let you drive in town.
Yeah, I see the steer, Jim! Neat. When I told the Husband what you said, he chuckled over "old timey mechanic". I can see him floating away thinking about old timey mechanics. The next time we go see our mechanic, we'll ask him what the possiblity is of that first option you mentioned. Now that the weather is cooler, I don't mind driving further in the car.Delete
Very pretty picture !ReplyDelete
Thank you, Gattina.Delete
A clever way to wrap everything into one!ReplyDelete
I try my darndest, Tom. :-)Delete
I love the new growth on the old bark :)ReplyDelete
If I turn my head sideways to the right I can see a pig's face with one eye bigger than the other :)
Hi, Eunice. haha. I love that you found a pig.Delete
I'm not seeing the owl but I do like the big knots. I also love your interpretation of opposite because it show old and young...which is great.ReplyDelete
The owl went to sleep in the knots, Birgit. :-)Delete
There's an owl in there! :)ReplyDelete
I'm fascinated by the new growth - what kind of tree is it? If I didn't know it was new growth from the tree, I'd have thought it was some kind of grass growing there. Definitely not a kind of tree that we have around here! Super shot!ReplyDelete
I wish I knew Claire. I can't find the folder that holds other photos of the tree. I was going to say it was some kind of palm, but that's not a palm trunk. If I ever find out, I'll be sure to let you know.Delete
Beautiful picture ... those tree cavities fascinate me and I've tried so many times to get a decent picture, but never really succeed. A bit envious, but grateful you posted yours.ReplyDelete
Thanks, Sallie. I edited the photo in Photoshop to emphasize the growth and the eyes. Otherwise, it would've been a bland photo.Delete
definitely owlish! fun photo!ReplyDelete
Hoooooo. Thank you. :-)Delete
I agree it is quite the cool photo! Love your creative take on the prompts. :-) Thanks so much for joining in Friday's Hunt. Sorry I'm so late to get around visiting this week (Obviously, I blame some goats).ReplyDelete
Thanks, Teresa. No problem. I've been late a lot lately.Delete
