Tilda-Hilda, Day 1 in 2016

A new calendar year means the start of another round of Tilda-Hilda's and my work-outs. This morning, we braved the cold and pedaled 6.11 miles in 37 minutes. Pretty good, considering we've been lazy the past three weeks.

In 2015, we pedaled about 516 miles in 84 days. More than half of the mileage was pedaled in June and July. The goal in 2016 is to ride steadily throughout the year. I can already tell you that I'm thinking excuses not to go out tomorrow or the next day or the next.  We shall see.

    1. Thanks, Ellen! Yesterday I worked in the garden and today the Husband and I hiked up a little hill. They aren't excuses but substitutions!

  2. I never make resolutions because I always broke them. I look at what you accomplished last year with Tilda and give you a standing ovation! You have been doing great and will continue to do so. I screwed up what i wrote for yesterday's post-I meant to say "from one gull to another"...LOL

    1. One gull to another, hahahaha. Me, too. No resolutions. I figure if I ride Tilda-Hilda the first day of the year, then that puts it out there for me to keep on keeping on.

Thank you very much for the standing ovation. I was surprised how many miles I pedaled last year. Guess it's true, a mile here, a mile there, they all add up to a lot. Oooh, I sound so wise. hahaha

  3. I love the photo of Tilda Hilda near a field. I wish you would have made your illustration a big larger so we could see it :).

    1. That was an artichoke field, Sweetbearies. First one I've seen in our area. You can see a bit more of the field on the next post.
