My Alphabe Thursday theme -- The Dude, The Husband |

He has an easy gait with a long stride. I have a slower place than him, so I tell him to go stretch his legs. Until recently, I was usually half a block behind him. These days, I can keep up with him or just be a few steps behind him, some of the time.
I love walking with the Husband. I also like taking photos of him on our walks and hikes.

It's Alphabe Thursday, hosted by the sweet Jenny Matlock. Today is the letter W. To check other participants, please click here. By the way, if you're coming from the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge, my T post is over here.
That's a beautiful area for a hike -- in your last pic. That's great that you both love to walk!
ReplyDeleteThat's the Pinnacles National Park, one of the newest parks in the National Park Service system.
DeleteWhat a great hubby and hiker!
ReplyDeleteHe most definitely is.
DeleteWalking! there's a saying here "ten toe transit" - either way, i like it, too - I like your photos best of all . . my companion walker is my TALL puppy . . . we are still working on our skills . . it takes a lot of effort to walk alongside a person . . they walk so much slower than a long legged puppy . . . I've never been married, i suspect a human companion is also good . . . (smile)
ReplyDeleteYes, when you find the right human companion to walk with, it's wonderful.
DeleteI love to take a hike and what a hike you had here! Nice photos! Enjoy a great weekend and thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anne. The Same to you.
DeleteHow nice to be able to go for walks together.
ReplyDeleteSImple things are the best. :-)
DeleteOh how much I would love to walk with my hubby but I am too slow according to my ADHD man. Love these photos as always
ReplyDeleteI like it both ways, walking alongside the Husband and him way ahead of me. When he's ahead of me, I can ponder as I walk.
DeleteThank you, Susie, for sharing your walks with us. You have nice pretty and interesting places to walk.
ReplyDeleteIt may not be the slow walks as much as where he has to walk slow that he doesn't like.
Mrs. Jim used to walk faster than I did but now since her hip transplant we are about the same, I might get ahead but my knee is more broken in than her hip.
..
Yes, Jim, there is that. The Husband doesn't like shopping, but we don't go much since I don't like it either. Museums, we both love. Bummer about your knee and Mrs. Jim's hip. I suppose one of way of looking at our physical ailments is that it makes us go slower so we don't hurt ourselves. But then, we did hurt ourselves in the first place. Oh well.
DeleteI like walking also. It's so relaxing and renewing. I try to get out a little bit everyday and enjoy the sights!
ReplyDeleteThis past week I was trying out the treadmill at a gym. It's not the same thing. I'd rather walk in fresh open air, even in the cold or rain.
DeleteMy husband is a couch potato he never liked walking ! lol !
ReplyDeleteI love this post and I love nothing better than walking. I used to walk with my best friend but our different paces irritated me. I now have a walking partner who matches my stride perfectly, it is so very healing walking.
ReplyDeleteMy husband tried to hike with me during our last vacation...bugs were bad/we became lost/he's never been a fan of long walks (but he walks the golf courses!) So glad you have someone who loves to walk with you♪ http://lauriekazmierczak.com/weird-bolls/
ReplyDeleteMy husband is 6 foot and I am just over 5 ft so with his long legs and my short legs I always feel like I'm trotting along when he wants to "properly" walk and when I make him take shorter strides he doesn't enjoy the walk.
