Barely Green

http://

In good years, meaning non-drought ones, our hills are richly green. Hopefully, rain will come again before the month is up.

  1. Yeah, we haven't had much rain this year, have we? Sigh. I think it's a dry one, sadly.

    1. If it does become a dry one, hopefully next year won't.

    1. The weather guys keep saying there is a dry ridge out at sea that keeps the rain from reaching us.

  4. We usually have a rainy winter, but here in Pennsylvania, we have had snow after snow storm. Looking forward to Spring!

  5. You can have some of my rain Susie, apart from a couple of thin coverings of snow which disappeared in less than 24 hours it's done nothing but rain here most days since last October :(

  6. We have probably not had enough either, although it is greener here than it is at yours. I’m sure I remember that when we lived here (before travel) it rained every day all winter. It sure hadn’t done that this year and I have trouble not being grateful for that.

    1. You've reminded me of a teen novel by Beverly Cleary. The main character lived in Portland and was given a chance to spend the school year in California. She was so happy because she wouldn't have to deal with the Oregon rain. That's all I remember. Oh, and that she had a very cool looking raincoat that she finally got to wear one day in California.
