2. "How did you get out there?" asked the Husband when he saw Molly sitting on the front steps through the screen door. "Did you climb the fence?"
3. Oh, oh. I forgot that Molly came out the front door with me earlier today. I get easily distracted, which means I need to come up with a system to remind me that Molly is still wandering around the front yard.
4. Thankfully, Missy Girl forgave me. So I think. She laid on my lap for a while.
5. Good medical news #1 that I got on Monday: Doctor Eye has me down in mid-May to remove the cataract in my other eye. Whoooo-hoooo!
6. Good medical news #2 that I got this afternoon: The result of my routine mammogram is normal. Yippieeee!
7. The Husband and I voted yesterday by mail-in ballots. Yaaay!
8. Been letting my imagination run free with doodles, colors, and paper.
9. "Tell me I'm not crazy. That is a foot, right!" |
10. The Husband watered the front yard today because we haven't had rain since sometime in January and that wasn't much.
11. Soon after he began, the sky started getting darker and feeling a bit muggy. No rain. The weather forecasters say we may see rain this weekend. Hope so.
12. Last year, we were way behind the game when it came to deadheading the daisies. It's a wonder they came back and in a big way. Now that I can see better (and soon I'll see best), I've noticed that the daisies could use some deadheading already. Cool, I've got new scissors.
13. I was about to put up a photo of the daisies when El-Dudes jumped up to say, "Please show us off instead." Certainly.
El-Dudes say check out Thursday Thirteen and I Like Thursday.
Earth time with Molly (how fluffy) and the husband - how wonderful! Love your doodles. I can't make any to save my life.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Hazel. That's what I thought until recently -- about doodling. :-)
DeleteLove your garden fashion! It's only a matter of time till I'll be raking out my daffodil beds! Dyscalculia? Who knew? We just adapt to so much and I hid those impairments or figured out how to do things anyways.
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite top. It was my one and only going-out top for about 10 years. If I ever come across something similar at a decent price, I'm buying two. Maybe even three. They'll last my lifetime.
DeleteHello, it is nice you, your hubby and the kitty enjoyed working out in the yard. Hubby and I will be doing the same soon, our spring plants should be coming up soon. I like the doodles, your cute photo and sweet kitty! Enjoy your day, have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Eileen. The Husband lets me "boss" him around in the yard. I'm mindful about not being too bossy.
DeleteI do hope we get some rain this weekend. Yesterday it did almost look threatening. I love a good rainstorm, and they've been sorely lacking this year.
ReplyDeleteHurrah! We got rain today (Sunday). The Husband was in the middle of watering the backyard when it began sprinkling.
Deleteahhhhh I love coming here. We have your rain in the form of snow.... sorry bout that. Molly missed you when she was out front, reminding me of the song how can I miss you when you won't go away. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. I missed you mama, now sit! so I can remember how safe you make me!
ReplyDeleteMolly's such a forgiving girl. Today, I nearly closed the sliding door as she was going back in the house. She gave me a look of "How could you?" as she ran to the other side of the yard. It took me awhile to find her hiding place. She accepted my apology, thank goodness.
DeleteLooks like fun working in the yard. Hope your eyes heal quickly. Mary
ReplyDeleteAfter a week-and-a-half, my eye is still a bit sore, but happy. :-)
DeleteWe voted by mail also. It'll be a few weeks yet before we can get started on spring gardening.
ReplyDeleteRight now it's mostly raking leaves, trimming back plants, and pulling out weeds. I like doing that stuff, too.
DeleteMiss Molly is very forgiving - especially if lap-cuddles are involved. :)
ReplyDeleteWe celebrated 8 years together in February!
DeleteI love your doodles because they are heartfelt and it shows. So glad Molly is doing well and found your lap. Mam’s garden will still be wondrous.
