In my mind, I'm five years old having a high old time wandering and wondering. In reality, I'm now 70, wowza! I tell you a lot of creativity is still to be found in this old young self. In you, too, whatever your age. Welcome to my barefoot world!

Gardenias, Mmmmmmmm
Last week, we took a tour of a greenhouse that included gardenias, mmmmmmmm. Their scent, mmmmmmmm. The tour guide said that gardenias are coming back into popularity. I was surprised the flower ever went out of favor.
I guess your blog didn't like my two cents about gardenias, ha. I know I never liked that kind of perfume or bubble bath as a kid and thought of it as an "old lady" scent.
As someone who still has clothes (and wears them) from 15 years ago, I am not one to follow fashion or trends - so I join with those who wonder how gardenias fell by the wayside - not only is the fragrance luxurious, the feel of the petals is to die for!
Angie, this afternoon I was thinking that my reliable wrinkled jean jacket with the embroidered flowers on the front is about 14 years old. I've never cared for the flowers but at $20 it was too good a deal to pass. lol
I think my mother loves those.. Or hates them. I can't remember which.
ReplyDeleteThat's the thing about trends
ReplyDeleteI'm usually out of the loop when it comes to trends or fads. Okay with me. :-)

ReplyDeleteI wonder if you'll like it when you get to the "old lady" stage. lol
