Eden Hills Friday Hunt V2.2

This week Teresa's Friday Hunt includes 1) Starts with the Letter B. 2) Week's Favorite and 3) Patriotic. My photo covers all three items. Hurrah!

My town holds a lot of parades every year. Seven, if I'm counting correctly. My favorite is the Fourth of July Kiddies Parade. It's the sweetest, cutest, shortest, and quickest of them all. I'm not kidding about quick. You blink your eyes too often and you've missed all the children, the parents, and grandparents marching by. The Husband and I like to join in at the tail end for half-a-block of so.

What's the letter B, you ask? B is for bitty as in the darling itty bitty girl pulling her horse. I thought her rather strong.

  4. I love the little kids who are so earnest in being ready for and marching in a parade. She may be 'bitty', but she s larger than life in pulling her float!

    1. You said it, Ralph. I thought her amazing. And, her mom, too, for letting her pull it on her own.

  6. That is a really little girl pulling her horse. It seems though, that she is pulling it with determination. I wonder if she went the entire parade distance.

    1. When I first saw her, Jim, she was towards the middle of the parade. By the time the Husband and I tagged along, she was at the end. The woman in charge of monitoring the back kept saying to the girl and her mother, "Need to go a little faster." When we dropped out of the parade, I noticed that the woman in charge was pulling the horse for the girl, who was still in determined march alongside her mom.

  7. I stayed home on the fourth, but I enjoy seeing everyone's photos. In years past I would walk outside and watch the fireworks, but this year I just wanted to make sure my cat was okay.

    1. The fireworks affected Molly the Cat this year. I wondered if it's because she wasn't snuggled next to the Mama.
