"I seem to be doing everything at the last moment," I said to the Husband, while we stood in line at the post office. I was sending a gift for a baby shower happening on Saturday.
"Why is that?" he asked.
I shrugged. "I don't know. I'll probably die at the last moment."
"They'll ask you 'What happened?'" said the Husband. "'You should've been here last week.'"
What can I say? That's life.
... 'I'll probably die at the last moment." ... perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's my hope. :-)
Deleteone step at a time is all we ever need, right? and, sometimes, i suspect, we are supposed to relax and listen . . . therefore, I declare you are always in the perfect place - all the time . . (big grin)
ReplyDelete"...always in the perfect place - all the time." I like that!
Delete"I've nothing against dying,
ReplyDeleteI just don't wan't to be there when it happens."
I can't remember who said that, but I thought it was rather funny.
'The Husband' made me laugh, I liked his remark, 'What happened, you should've been here last week' !

It sounds like a Henny Youngman joke. I liked his jokes. "Doctor, Doctor, it hurts when I do this. (Patient raises his arm.) "Then don't that," said the doctor. hahahah
DeleteOn reflection, I think it was Woody Allen.

Yes, I can hear his voice saying that.
DeleteYou 2 are just fun! Love the banter and it would be fun to have a drink with you both even if it is just an iced tea:)
ReplyDeleteI'll have iced coffee, thank you very much. Iced tea tends to make me paranoid, especially if we should happen to drink it in Wyoming.
