The Mama -- the Zestful Gardener

Today is the end of the 16th round of ABC Wednesday, which was begun by Mrs. Denise Nesbitt eight years ago. Thanks to Roger, Di, Wil, and others for keeping the meme going.

For this round, I have been writing about The Mama and Her Authentic Green Thumbs. . .and Fingers. With this last post, I give you photos of the zen and zip of the 93-year-old Mama in action over the last several years working her magic in her gardens.

Look at this! I actually caught the Mama resting yesterday. Of course, it was at the end of the day. But, if I didn't tell it was almost time for dinner, she would've kept on going. Molly the Cat helped to get her to stop by weaving in front of her.

  1. I enjoy this theme very much. Your mama inspires me but I can't do that much gardening. :)

    1. You've got her, Di. She Zzzzzzzzzs almost immediately in front of the TV after dinner. And, you noticed her smile. I was pleased to get that. Usually she looks away when I'm snapping pictures. :-)

    1. Once upon a time, when I'd flown the coop, I didn't think I could or would ever live with the Mama again. There have been tough moments, but all in all, I'm happy that we are. I'm very grateful that the Husband was willing and continues to be willing for us to all live together.

  9. What wonderful photos of the Mama! Such a spry 93 yr old. I'm 30 years younger and certainly don't have as much zip! lol

    1. You've got 2 years on me, Beverley. There are days when the Mama has run circles around me. I began riding bikes again to build my strength and stamina. :-)
