Day 15 with Tilda-Hilda

This morning, Tilda-Hilda and I came across modern cowboys building fences. Instead of wooden posts, they used steel posts. They dug the holes with a big drilling machine. No back-breaking digging for them. More than likely, they'll put up wire fencing between the posts rather than three parallel lines of barbed wire.

I notice that a lot more fencing is going up around fields in the area. I suppose it's to keep out the wild animals and humans.  There have been two or three fields that the Husband and I used to bike through that now have fences.

Tilda-Hilda and I pedaled a 9 1/2 mile loop in 53 minutes, much of it uphill. As the saying goes, what goes up, must come down. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee. . . .

  1. That is great exercise! All of our fences are needing to be replaced. I hope when my dh retires he will have more time to work on that.

    1. Except for swimming, bicycling is the one type of exercise I can be consistent with. It also helps to have a great buddy as Tilda-Hilda supporting me. :-)

  2. I admire your long bike rides. The open spaces up there look so inviting.

    1. Thanks, Sweetbearies. I am fortunate in living in a rural city, that's for sure.

    1. Sometimes I think we can pedal cross country. Wouldn't that be a hoot. I would definitely learn how to change tires.

    2. Now, that would indeed be an adventure!

    3. I would drop by and visit the two of you. Yeah, I'd make a side trip into Canada.
