Ice cream is one of my comfort foods. I'm tired, I want ice cream. I'm depressed, ice cream. Happy, ice cream!
I eat ice cream on a very hot summer day as well as on a freezing cold winter night. I've even eaten ice cream for breakfast. That was after I walked more than five miles pushing Tilda-Hilda (my pink bike cruiser, for those who don't know) with a flat tire home. Well, four miles. The Husband walked up to meet me and pushed Tilda-Hilda the last mile. He's such a sweetheart.
Lemon chiffon, chocolate, coffee, French vanilla, and pineapple-coconut are my top five ice creams. What are yours?

Ice cream is wonderful-I love your drawing my fav is the one with the glasses:) I am boring-chocolate-nice and simple
ReplyDeleteChocolate is not ever, ever boring. Not ever.
DeleteI love to make ice cream with just bananas and chocolate powder. So easy and good.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds yummmy. That sounds for breakfast.
DeleteI love Butter Scotch!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYum!
DeleteI do love pistachio, but would hate to discriminate against any other flavours
ReplyDeleteLOL! I don't think the other flavors would mind since you're enjoying the pistachio.
DeleteBelieve it or not I only ever eat ice cream when I'm in Italy - proper Italian ice cream has to be the best, and nothing else will do for me. I like most flavours but my favourite is zuppa inglese.
ReplyDeleteI get ya. I made sure I had gelato in Florence before I left. Wowza!
DeleteIce cream is wonderful! I like almost all flavors. Lately I've been eating mint Oreo. I also like dark cherry and chocolate.
ReplyDeleteDark cherry and chocolate, yummmm.
DeleteLe sigh ... I have to go for dairy-free options these days. Thankfully there are many to choose from, but they're not, and never will be, quite the same as a rich full-cream ice cream.
ReplyDeleteBummer Widders. I went through a period of dairy-free and decided I'd do without the ice cream.
DeleteSusie,
ReplyDeleteFor a big treat, I sometimes take my girls to one of those ice-cream shops which has loads and loads of different flavours. They stand in front of the counter for a long time as they try to make up their minds what they want. Even with all that choice, I usually end up buying strawberry or chocolate ice cream for myself, instead of the more exotic varieties!
When I lived in San Francisco, I'd go to an ice cream shop that featured a wheel. Spin it and where ever it landed, that's the flavor the spinner got. It also had a free space. So, if the shop didn't have lemon chiffon, I'd spin the wheel. I wonder if the shop is still there.
DeleteBlack Raspberry ice cream is my favorite and it's very hard to find. Every summer in my small home town on the ocean, a little ice cream shack would open up and my aunt would buy me a cone.
ReplyDeleteNow living in Ecuador, I have fallen in love with Mora ice cream. Mora is the local version of black raspberries and now I'm hooked!
