Did you think I was going to talk about rock and roll stars? Hahaha. Nope.
I'm talking about actual rocks. Granite—or are they basalt?—rocks that edge the ocean shorelines, to be precise. But, my question can be about rock formations anywhere. That question: Do you ever see faces in rocks? How about figures?
Here's what I saw at the rocky shoreline in Monterey recently.

Peanut Butter and Whine
New Hampshire has The Old Man in the Mountain rock formation, and it's even on the NH quarter.
ReplyDeleteI went and read the Wikipedia article. That is so cool.
DeleteEach time I look at that first pic, I see a horse's profile.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the terrier profile I see is what you see as a horse. If it is, the horse's head is the big nose. The guy's eye is just above it to the left.
DeleteAhah! .. Yep, it's a rare and very reclusive Terriorse, and Mr Big Schnoz.
DeleteI can see your last 2 but I don't see a schnozolla one. My eyes are so bad, I'm lucky to see the rocks. :)
ReplyDeleteSee the crack at the top left that looks like an eye. Right below it is the nose. :-)
DeleteLovely photos
ReplyDeleteThanks, magnumlady. :-)
DeleteI find most farms always look like a face too. It's always fun to spot these types of things and let our imaginations wander.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with a-z.
