This year I’m making collages for our monthly calendars. June is all about the Husband, being his birthday is in June.  About 20 years ago, a friend gifted the Husband with a six pack of Dick’s Pale Ale. When she saw it in Oregon, she said she had to get it for the Husband. I agree the little boy could’ve been the Husband long ago, and yes, that’s the Husband’s name. By the way the cute doodles were drawn by the Husband, and that’s the Husband’s dad’s photo pasted onto the tractor driver.  Sharing the joy with Gillena’s Art Fun Friday . Missy Molly by Golly, the pinky-nosed (wilde) Cat, has moved on to new adventures soaring through the Universe. I like to think that Molly’s Spirit reunited with Mama’s and it’s all a tumble of joy. Wild grass of some sort grows through a crack on the patio. I like how they dance in the wind, which is my excuse for not pulling them out. They also offer a photo opportunity. Click, click.  I experimented on this photo with the filters available on the iPad. I did this acrylic painting last year, methinks. My first try at using a canvas this size, as well as it was the first time I brushed on a layer of white paint first. Not over the whole canvas, but a huge circle from which  came out the sun.  The scene is what I remember of sunrises in the Sierra Nevada where I backpacked so long ago.  Gillena, at Lunch Break , is hosting  Art for Fun Friday . What is this?  Not cheese, Borat.  This, that to the left in the photo, was my first try at stitching tiny fabric scraps scrunched randomly together on a bigger piece of fabric scrap. Recently, I sewed the piece onto polka dot material that was once part of the leg of Mama’s knit pants.  Some may consider this a blob of what the heck. Others, a work of art. Me, fun.
