The Dude, The Husband -- A Patient Man

My Alphabe Thursday theme -- The Dude, The Husband The Husband drives as I hang out the window clicking away at the scenery. While we are walking, the Husband stops and waits nearby when I suddenly stop to take photos. The Husband is a very patient man. I'm a fortunate wife. By the way, should you be curious, click here to see the mural next to which the Husband is patiently posing at my request.  Today is the letter P at Jenny Matlock's Alphabe Thursday . Happy Hands

My ABC Wednesday theme: The Mama and Her Authentic Green Thumbs . . .and Fingers Long ago, the Only and Older Bionic Brother and I talked about the Mama's future and what if she were to move into an apartment. It was a very short discussion. "She'd go crazy," the Only and Older Bionic Brother said. The Mama may be content staying home, but she needs and wants space to roam in the outdoors.  Her gardens are the perfect place and size for keeping her hands happy year-round. I'm participating in ABC Wednesday , a meme began Mrs. Denise Nesbitt and administered today by Roger Green at Ramblin' with Roger . Today is the letter H . Click here to read other H posts.

A Double Rainbow

It was about 20 minutes before sunset when I heard the rain on the roof next door. "It's raining," I said, clicking away on the keyboard. The Husband shifted in his seat behind me. "The sun is out," he said. "There must be a rainbow somewhere." The vertical blinds rustled. "It's right outside!" "Everyone's getting their camera. Click, click," I said as I crossed the room, thinking about the growing number of people suddenly sharing their photos of our town on a couple of local Facebook groups. I peeked through the slats. "I'm getting my camera." The Husband followed me down the stairs and out the door. We were greeted by a brilliant rainbow. "Look, look! Another rainbow!" I said, clicking away. Two rainbows. A gentle rain. The sun setting. What more could we ask for? Some  clouds cleared beneath the rainbow. "The moon!" I'm participating in Our World Tuesday . To se

Orange Car

Huh? It's March already! Sometimes I think I'm Rip Van Winkle. Anyway, this morning I felt like playing around with bright colors. And, whaddaya know, I found a photo I took from last year's street fair and car show in town. I had fun discovering a few more features in Photoshop. The car looks like it's laughing in the third image. What do you think? Now, I'm ready to tackle my To-Do List. By the way, I'm hooking up with Mandarin Orange Monday , hosted by the fantastic artist Lori at Lorikart . Click here to see other orange posts by bloggers from around the world.

Gone Today, Hair Tomorrow

Over an hour ago, I put down the scissors and the Husband had a new look. His beard was trimmed and his long, beautiful locks were no more, which he had been growing for nearly four years. Recall that three weeks ago he cut off mine .  Molly the Cat always seems to know when we're doing something interesting. All of a sudden there she was watching us set up the cutting area in the kitchen. She hung out until nearly all of the Husband's hair was on the floor. She hasn't seen the Husband yet with his new look. We're wondering if Molly the Cat will act shy around the Husband when she finally sees him. She only knows him as a hairy guy.
