We were heading south on Highway 101. Did you ever see Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo? He shot a driving scene through this grove of eucalyptus trees. Part of the movie was set in the old mission city of San Juan Bautista. FYI: Hitchcock built his own mission tower for the movie.
