Jane Austen, Geologist?

Jane Austen, Action Doll, patted the granite spire before her. She admired its solidity and solitariness.

"If rocks could speak, the stories they could tell us," she said. "Oh, and the scolding they might give us."

"Dear me, where has my rock pick gone?"

My theme for this year's challenge is Jane Austen, Action Doll, Seeks a New Career.

    1. :-) She's a great companion, not much of a word and sentence taskmaster, thank goodness.

  6. I don't think this is the one for -- this is definitely not Jane.... although of course she is right about the stories the rocks could tell, her skirts are going to get in her way even if she finds the pick!

    1. Those skirts! When she works alone, she could tie them up out of the way.

    1. The sharp edges of rocks wouldn't hurt her plastic skin too much, that's for sure. :-0

  8. She might have been happy amongst rocks. There was that one line... (And now I can't think of even which book it was from. Drat!)
